On November 3, 2022, Christian Kirilov from SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” presented to students from OU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Kyustendil, a popular science presentation on the topic of the application of unmanned aerial vehicles for precision agriculture. The students had the opportunity to learn the application of drones in modern agricultural practices, which are applied both in Bulgaria and abroad. In the course of the presentation, the economic and environmental benefits of applying modern technologies in agriculture were explained to the children. At the same time, the opportunities for obtaining thematic technological and scientific education in the speciality “Geospatial systems and technologies” of the Faculty of Geology and Geography of SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” were presented. The event is part of the program of visits to schools by Geograf BG, realized in the course of the project SEARCH – European night of scientists. Students from the village of Gara Lakatnik (Sofia region), the village of Opan (Stara Zagora region), Pazardzhik and Plovdiv got acquainted with the state presentation.
